Here are some of the outcomes I got from my product shoot, which was for perfume. From doing research into how products are advertised, I found things to be too over the top, and therefore said that I wanted to keep it very simple by just using the product itself and using studio lights to create highlights and darker areas on the bottle, which is what I have done within the 5 images below. From these 5 images I am going to choose my final outcome, of which I feel has the best composition and looks the most effective.
A rough sketch of the studio set up and equipment that I used to take these photographs is shown below.
I felt that using the light table would be best for my product as I wanted the light to shine through the glass, which I was able to get from the light behind the table.
I also sometimes had to use a white piece of board as a reflector and a black piece to absorb the light as their was either too much on one area or too little, depending on the effect that I wanted.
I feel that I was able to get some successful photographs from this shoot and I am pleased with the outcomes considering it was my first solo shoot in the studio.
